Professional Foxing Removal Growing Demand
I have been removing foxing from watercolour paintings for many years, but more recently there seems to be a noticeably higher demand. Increasing numbers of collectors, galleries, and private owners are contacting me specifically to address foxing issues in their works on paper. This rise in enquiries reflects a growing awareness of how damaging foxing can be and how important early, professional intervention is in preserving artwork.
If you have any watercolour paintings affected by foxing and would like to discuss having it removed, please get in touch. You are welcome to email me clear photos of your paintings for an initial assessment and advice on the most suitable conservation options.
Early consultation can often lead to better outcomes, so I encourage collectors to seek advice as soon as foxing becomes visible.
Foxing is not just a cosmetic issue. Over time, it can weaken the paper fibers, making the artwork more fragile and prone to further deterioration.
